Sixteen gigabytes provides more room for programming tools, large spreadsheets, design applications, virtual meetings and longer useful life. Engineering, video, advanced design, virtual machines and large datasets may require more.
Also confirm whether the computer's memory is upgradeable, how many slots it has and whether part of the memory is soldered. Buying an upgradeable model can be more economical than replacing the whole computer later.
